Connect Board of Directors Nominations Now Open
Connect is now accepting applications for the 2008-2009 Board of Directors. The organization is governed by a membership-elected international volunteer Board of Directors that is responsible for establishing policy and setting the strategic vision and goals for Connect.
We are looking for:
- Dedicated members of the Connect community who have a passion to carry out the organization's mission,
- Innovative thinkers with ideas that represent the needs of the Connect membership, and
- Team players interested in working with a large team and developing their professional expertise.
Submit your application by 4 September for the Connect Board of Directors, and take advantage of this opportunity to use your knowledge and passion to lead Connect into the new year. As a Board member, you have the opportunity to:
- Provide your insight to shape Connect programs and services
- Help Connect provide a forum to share member knowledge across the entire community
- Gain unprecedented access to HP executives through our in-person Board meetings
Please note that to apply for the Board of Directors, you or your company must be a current paid member of Connect and you must have experience working with a not-for-profit organization, either as a volunteer or in a leadership position. This can be as a volunteer with Connect or in another similar organization.

Register by 22 September and save up to 400 Euro off the on-site registration fee.
Join nearly 800 other attendees at Community Connect Europe 2008, which will offer nearly 100 technical sessions from experienced HP customers, developers, managers and product engineers, and third-party vendors. When I first saw the line I thought there was a small protest forming outside the local supermarket and wondered what was the problem.
