Connect Special Interest Groups (SIGs) serve an important role for HP customers in their desire to learn more about the products and technologies they use in their workplace. SIGs are a means by which business issues or problems can be discussed and resolved by peers from a variety of organizations.
Connect offers the following Special Interest Groups (SIGs) for current members:

Forming a New Connect SIG
If a Connect member, staff member, or Board member identifies the need for the formation of a new SIG, a proposal must be submitted to the SIG Director. The proposal should include the following critical success factors:
1) Topic Relevance: The topic on which your SIG focuses must be relevant and timely in order to fill a specific need with the industry.
2) Volunteer Energy: Connect will provide assistance in launching your SIG. However, as a volunteer-run organization, we require a dedicated group of at least 3-5 volunteers who are willing and able to commit time to launch the new group. If you do not have a full steering committee, Connect can help to locate additional volunteer leaders.
3) Connect Representation: An integral component of your team is your HP liason. If you are not currently working with an HP liason, Connect can help to identify the best person.
4) Critical Mass: Without SIG members, a SIG can not be considered to be truly active. Once you launch, you will be able to invite the Connect membership to build your user-base.
5) Infrastructure Support: The Connect Director of SIGS and Connect HQ team are here to support your SIG launch. Please do not hesitate to contact Connect HQ at info@connect-community.org with any further questions you may have.
