In a transcript filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and reported by CRN on February 2, 2016, Howard Elias—EMC's president and COO—and Rory Read—Dell’s COO—recently spoke to EMC employees. What they said was both revealing and potentially concerning. Elias said, “Dell and EMC will “still operate somewhat separately in certain parts of the business just due to systems, due to customer relationships.”
