HPE NonStop X application migration and languages enhancements overview
Speakers: Ron Tischler and Kristy Andrews, Hewlett Packard Enterprise

Description:

This talk recaps what was covered in last year’s session about the native-mode compilers and TNS emulation software for NonStop on x86.  Thereare few user-visible changes for the new hardware architecture other than new names for various components; there are lower-level changes to make familiar features available.  This talk gives an overview of what you need to know to migrate to the new versions of the C, pTAL, and Cobol compilers. It also discusses the linker, the assembler, the object file format, TNSacceleration, profile-guided optimization, and code coverage.   In addition, this talk describes a new feature added in the latest releases (L16.05 and J06.20), support for the boost library in C/C++, and gives a preview of upcoming C/C++ enhancements.
